Commission Terms

These Commission Terms apply to private, custom-size and personalized artworks created by Liia Ora, operated by Antalik Emese Lili e.v.

By confirming a commission and paying the deposit, you agree to these Commission Terms.

1. What a private commission is
A private commission is a custom artwork created specifically for a client.
It may be based on:

• a specific size;

• a space or wall;

• a personal story;

• a feeling;

• a relationship;

• a memory;

• a brand vision;

• a gift idea;

• or another personal direction agreed during the commission process.

Each commissioned painting is created within the Liia Ora visual language: black and white, strong contrast, layered texture and often one bold accent color.
A commission is not a copy of an existing artwork.

2. Inquiry and quote
The commission process begins with an inquiry.
You may send:

• the approximate size;

• photos or description of the space;

• the intended location;

• the feeling, story or direction you have in mind;

• any references, colors, materials, music or other inspiration.

After the first details are clarified, I will send a quote based on the size, complexity and direction of the painting.

3. Deposit
A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the commission and begin the process.
The deposit confirms your place in the studio schedule and covers the beginning of the creative work, preparation and consultation.
The commission is not confirmed until the deposit has been received.

4. Acceptance of Commission Terms
By paying the deposit, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Commission Terms.

5. Consultation
After the deposit is paid, we schedule a 30-minute online consultation.
During the consultation, we discuss the space, size, feeling, story, brand direction or anything you want the artwork to carry.
This conversation helps shape the direction before I begin creating the painting.

6. Creative freedom
A private commission is created from an agreed direction, not from a fixed visual blueprint.
You do not need to know exactly what the painting should look like.
The painting will be created in my visual language and artistic style, based on the feeling and direction we discuss.
By commissioning a painting, you understand and accept that the final artwork will be an original interpretation, not an exact visual reproduction of references or existing works.

7. Question and private sound piece
Each commissioned painting comes with:

• a question connected to the feeling behind the work;

• a private sound piece created for the same emotional world as the painting;

• a certificate of authenticity.

The private sound piece is accessed through a QR code on the certificate of authenticity.
The private sound piece belongs only to the final owner of the artwork and is not published online.

8. Creation period
The creation time depends on the size, complexity and current studio schedule.
An estimated timeframe may be discussed before the work begins. Timeframes are estimates and may change if the artwork requires more time to complete properly.

9. Preview and approval
When the painting is finished, you will receive photos or videos of the artwork.
If you approve the final painting, the remaining balance is paid before pickup or delivery.

10. If the final artwork does not feel right
If the finished painting does not feel right for you, you do not have to complete the purchase.
In that case:

• the 30% deposit remains non-refundable;

• the remaining balance is not due;

• the artwork stays with Liia Ora;

• the artwork may later be kept, changed, exhibited, sold or used by Liia Ora at her discretion.
   

11. Final payment
The remaining balance is due only after the final artwork has been shown through photos or videos and approved by the client.
Final payment must be completed:

• before shipping;

• before delivery;

• or before / at personal pickup, before the artwork is handed over.

The artwork will not be handed over or shipped until full payment has been received.

12. Pickup and delivery
Pickup or delivery is arranged individually.
Delivery costs are not included unless explicitly agreed in writing.
The buyer is responsible for providing accurate delivery information.
If shipping is requested, the artwork will be packaged with care. Any visible delivery damage must be reported as soon as possible with photos of the packaging and artwork.

13. No 14-day withdrawal right for commissioned artworks
Commissioned artworks are custom-made and personalized according to the client’s individual request.
For this reason, the standard 14-day withdrawal right does not apply to private commissions, where permitted by applicable law.
The client may decline the final artwork before final payment, according to Section 10 of these Commission Terms.

14. Changes during the process
Small clarifications may be discussed before painting begins.
Once the creative process has started, major changes in size, direction, concept or color direction may not be possible, or may require a new quote.

15. Copyright
Purchasing a commissioned artwork does not transfer copyright.
The buyer receives ownership of the physical artwork only.
Liia Ora retains all copyright and reproduction rights, including the right to photograph, publish, exhibit and use images of the artwork for portfolio, website, social media, print, marketing, exhibition or archival purposes, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
The buyer may not reproduce, sell copies, create merchandise, use the image commercially or mint NFTs from the artwork without written permission.

16. Privacy and confidentiality
Personal stories, private references or sensitive information shared during the commission process will be treated with care.
Liia Ora may share images of the finished artwork publicly, unless confidentiality is agreed in writing before the commission begins.
